Now, for the fun part – Let’s talk plus size friendly rides! These rides are non-restrictive by having bench-style seats and low-impact restraint bars. The rocket ship ride vehicles for Space Mountain are very low and your legs essentially wrap around the person in front of you. Of all of the roller coasters in Walt Disney World, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster has the tightest seats of them all! This coaster has the highest height requirement in Walt Disney World because it actually goes upside down, but the seats feel almost like they were made for children! If you are looking for a great coaster, we recommend Slinky Dog Dash, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, or Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith There is a door that closes on you that creates a “chamber” feel. This attraction was created with the help of real NASA Astronauts! It made our avoid list not only because of the size of the seat, but also the claustrophobic feel of the ride vehicle. As long as the restraint bar can lock you are free to ride! Mission: SPACE Expedition Everest Legends of the Forbidden MountainĮxpedition Everest is a great ride, but the seats have high sides on both sides that creates a hip pinching point. Just the way the system secures people makes you off balance, and the restriction can be very uncomfortable for some. A more comfortable way to see the park is the Walt Disney World Railroad or the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover Avatar Flight of PassageĪvatar has a ride vehicle similar to TRON where the rider leans all the way forward and they are closed in by bars coming up the back and calves. This ride is so tight that an adult of ANY size is going to feel a pinch and squeeze. If you have any questions about a ride, you can always ask a Cast Member.
